Building a Community of Friends

Here’s how Bridge Builders works: Members and guests gather annually for an International Potluck in the fall and at a winter festival in February, "Meet the World in Anchorage". At these events, individuals are paired with others from different cultures. Paired individuals invite each other to dinners or get-togethers that illustrate their cultures (ideas for “get togethers”). They also include others who are interested in becoming involved; expanding the group each year. As friendships are made among people of all backgrounds, the citizens of our community draw closer together, celebrate each other’s cultures and help each other when problems arise.
